30-year activity

To accommodate all employees and fixed-term contractors employed at our Jebel Ali site, the artwork was created in a series of panels. Employees participated in two sessions a day over a nine-day period (from 10 to 18 January 2010), with randomly assorted groups of colleagues across the functional and hierarchical spectra tackling and finishing individual panels. To entice interest, the panels tackled in any one session were fairly randomly assigned.

The massive finished masterpiece, measuring 2m high by 66m wide, is a riot of eye-catching colours and graphic devices that has helped employees 'see the bigger picture' in terms of the valuable role they play in DUBAL's continued operation and sustained success. The activity and its end result inspired excitement in our employees by giving them the opportunity to experience, in a creative environment, the true value of their individual and collective contributions in making DUBAL the industrial giant that it is today.
