Growth driven by technology development

Each of DUBAL’s six successive expansion projects to date has featured enhanced in-house reduction cell technologies that are capable of operating at increasingly higher amperages with associated growth in production capacity. Without exception, the operating amperages of the D18, CD20, CD26 and D20, reduction cells within DUBAL’s smelter at Jebel Ali exceed their respective design specifications; thereby enabling annual production levels that are consistently higher than official capacity: that has now reached 960,000 tonnes per year.
