Dubai Desert Classic
The recently re-named Omega Dubai Desert Classic is a PGA
European Tour-sanctioned event, held annually in Dubai since 1989.
DUBAL was the main sponsor of the event for 18 years (from 1991 to
2009); and migrated to second tier partner sponsor in 2010. Events
such as the Dubai Desert Classic are an integral part of showcasing
Dubai to international audiences. It highlights Dubai's superb
tourism and business infrastructure and demonstrates the city's
innovative and cosmopolitan flair.
DUBAL was also the main sponsor of the Dubai Ladies' Masters Golf
Tournament from its inception in 2006 to 2008, migrating to second
tier partner sponsor in 2009. This PGA European Tour-sanctioned
event is held in December each year.
Both events are organized by 'golf in Dubai'.
Dubai Racing Carnival
As part of a continuing strategy to support major sporting
events in the Emirate, DUBAL agreed to be the main sponsor for the
third annual Dubai International Racing Carnival held at Dubai's
Nad Al Sheba Racecourse from January to March 2006. The event,
considered the world's richest horse racing carnival, featured more
than 200 of the finest racehorses from 17 countries representing
some 100 international trainers.
Our company was also a sponsor of the Dubai Winter Racing Carnival
and Dubai International Racing Carnival in the 2007/2008;
2008/2009; and 2009/2010 horse racing seasons - the latter having
been held for the first time at the new Meydan Racecourse.
Jet Ski Racing
In 2005, DUBAL added support of the UAE National Jet Ski Racing
Competition, to our company's sponsorship of world-class, sporting
events.
Support is provided to three-time world champion, Nadir Bin
Hindi, enabling him to compete against a range of national and
international champions, in the National Jet Ski Racing Series,
which consists of seven heats.
Dubai International Arabian Horse Championships
The annual Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship - held
under the patronage of H H Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum,
Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Chairman of
DUBAL - is a competition designed to showcase the beauty, agility
and heritage of Purebred Arabian horses. DUBAL was the key sponsor
of the high profile, quality-focused event for the first time in
2007.
