Superb On-site Residential Facilities
DUBAL prides itself on its superior residential site which accommodates up to 1,700 male residents. The site, which fronts the Arabian Sea, is located north of the smelter and includes a wide variety of recreational facilities that provide employees an enviable quality of life. Facilities include a temperature-controlled swimming pool, an idyllic beach site equipped with outdoor barbecue facilities and a popular fishing jetty. Sports amenities include floodlit cricket, field hockey and football pitches, volleyball and basketball facilities, four floodlit tennis courts, three badminton courts, two squash courts and a martial arts club. In addition, the site has a 9-hole golf course designed and built by the residence's gardening staff. Indoor activities include Internet facilities, table tennis, snooker, pool tables and a health club.
An array of activities is also offered including music and art clubs. There are also television rooms equipped with satellite stations so residents can enjoy programmes in English, Arabic or Hindi, and all rooms have cable television. A project to fit Internet connections to all rooms has been launched.
Three cafeterias provide quality meals prepared by multicultural staff who prepare dishes popular among the ethnic groups represented in DUBAL's workforce. The site also has a mosque and a multi-denominational church.
