DUBAL has been a member of the UK-based International Aluminium Institute (“IAI”) for more than 20 years. The IAI is a global forum of aluminium producers dedicated to the development and wider use of aluminium as a competitive and uniquely valuable material.

DUBAL participates annually in IMD's Forum for Corporate Sustainability Management (CSM) annually. The forum, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in October 2005 draws together representatives of corporations who are committed to building a sustainable business advantage through social and environmental strategic action. CSM companies include partners and business associates of IMD and DUBAL is one of 34 member corporations.
Being a member enables DUBAL to benchmark its activities with 'best practice' companies. As a member it shares ideas, problems and solutions with organisations outside the aluminium industry. Additionally it may send representatives to participate in CSM's annual sustainability learning event which is generally an open, interactive forum. CSM also hosts biannual forums where research progress is reported, sustainability expertise and competitive strategies are explored and critiqued and tools and concepts are presented for integrating environment and social criteria into management are presented.
DUBAL has been a regular participant in the annual Quality Metal Workshop organized by Pyrotek since its inception in 2003. The event, which attracts about 250 participants from around the world, was hosted by DUBAL and held in Dubai in November 2005.
DUBAL participates regularly in Metal Bulletin's International Aluminium Conference. Metal Bulletin produces over 30 events in the metals, minerals and mining arena, attracting more than 5000+ of the top industry executives from companies around the world.
In September 2007, DUBAL hosted the 22nd Metal Bulletin International Aluminium Conference in Dubai. The premier industry gathering of global aluminium industry executives, the MBI Aluminium Conference covers the entire spectrum from raw materials supply to end-use analysis and generally attracts about 500 participants from around the world.
