ISO Certification
DUBAL is certified to the Quality Management Systems Standards ISO 9001:2000, a certification that covers the entire smelter operation, desalination plant, power plant and engineering. The company is also certified to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems standard.
In addition, DUBAL's casting operations are certified to the stringent ISO/TS 16949 certification and the company’s entire smelter operations are certified to the OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System assessment standard. The company also holds the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 for Information Security Management System and ISO/IEC 20000 - 1:2005 for information Technology Service Management.
Dubai Quality Awards
DUBAL won the Dubai Quality Award in 1996 and the gold award in 2000 as Company of the Year in the Production and Manufacturing category. It is a founding member of the Dubai Quality Group and has played a lead role in Dubai's drive for quality.
DUBAL has also been instrumental in establishing the Dubai Quality Group's Ideas Arabia sub-group, which focuses on optimizing the effectiveness of suggestion schemes and assists member companies to conceive, launch, and revamp suggestion programmes. This sub-group encourages members to share employee involvement practices and provides valuable benchmarking and networking opportunities.
In addition, DUBAL won the prestigious Investors in People award in 2002; as well as the Dubai Human Development Award (“DHDA”) in 2003 and the DHDA Gold Award in 2006.
