Welcome to DUBAL, the largest modern aluminium smelter with a captive power station. Today Dubai’s industrial flagship and one of the largest non-oil contributors to the Emirate’s economy, DUBAL was established in 1979 under the leadership of H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the late Ruler of Dubai. Over the ensuing years DUBAL has evolved into a global aluminium producer and presently has a production capacity of more than 980,000 metric tonnes of quality hot metal per year.
